In September 2023, Ypharco Healthcare proudly became one of the few health supplement manufacturing companies to be awarded the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification by the Ministry of Health – Vietnam Food Administration. This certification marks a significant milestone in Ypharco Healthcare’s development, serving as a strong testament to the quality of its products. It also paves the way for new opportunities in both domestic and international health supplement markets.

The Certification Process

To obtain GMP certification, Ypharco Healthcare underwent a rigorous inspection and evaluation process conducted by regulatory authorities and industry experts. Key aspects such as production management, hygiene practices during manufacturing, quality control of raw materials and finished products, as well as employee training, were thoroughly assessed.

• Personnel Requirements: Personnel are required to meet standards in terms of qualifications and professional competence. There are regulations for health checks for all staff, especially those directly involved in production. Training and professional development plans must be established for both managerial staff and workers.
• GMP Facility Construction Requirements: There must be regulations regarding the factory’s location, design, and the types of construction materials and equipment used, ensuring they are appropriate and compliant.
• Requirements for Hygiene and Environmental Control: Regulations must be established for the treatment of water used in production, wastewater treatment, handling of by-products and waste, safe storage of hazardous chemicals, pest control, personal hygiene, and cleanliness of the environment and facilities.
• Requirements for Processing Control: Clear regulations must be developed for processing methods, procedures, specific work instructions, and standards for raw materials, final products, formulation processes, and inspection and monitoring measures.
• Requirements for Storage and Distribution Control: There must be guidelines for the transportation and storage of products to ensure that finished goods are not contaminated by physical, chemical, or microbial agents and to avoid product mix-ups.
